12" ET65 - 65 Watts

12" ET65 - 65 Watts

Impedance

The ET65's creamy lows blend with tight midrange and sparkling highs for some of the best tones ever created. This speaker is for classic rock, country, and blues. Upgrade from your Celestion™ G12-65.

Possibly the best WGS speaker combination we can recommend is the ET65 paired with a Veteran 30™. Your cabinet will sound more full and colorful than you ever imagined. If you are putting together a 4x12 cab, we suggest either an "X" pattern or the ET65s on top of the Veteran 30's.

Exceeded My Expectations!

I have a vintage Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb... a "real" '64 (AB763) I had put a competitor's speaker in it about 8 years ago and it sounded good, but, I kept thinking that something was missing. After doing a lot of research, watching YouTube, etc. I finally decided to try the ET65... prior to ordering, I was impressed by their return policy (if needed). I got the ET65 in & knew immediately from the "build" that it was a quality speaker. I installed it & realized that for my Strats, I would need to change the mid cap on the Vibrato Channel of the amp from 0.047uf to 0.033uf to tame the bass response that I had to add for the prior speaker (it was very bright). After doing so, the amp sounded fantastic! I now have very "tight" piano-type lows & the high end is not too bright. The mids are not scooped as was the prior speaker... they have just the right touch. (I might add that I have the 47pf bright cap disconnected in my amp... a very common "mod") Now, my dilemma is whether or not to order 2 more for a Mesa Rectifier Cab that I have for my Lone Star Classic??? The Mesa Cab has Celestion V30's which to my ear are too aggressive for the Lone Star.
The ET65 is a really, really good speaker that exceeded my expectations!... and my experience with WGS has been great.

Lovely tone

I have had quite a few of these Et65 in different speakers and configurations. They are a go to when replacing vintage30s and other speakers. They are full and rich with sparkling highs and solid firm bass. No mush here. I rate these as 10 out of 10. There are several other WHS models you can combine these with that supplement the tonal pallete of the ET65 as well.

I’m a happy camper!

This speaker solved some major issues I had with a newly purchased REVV D25 open back combo amp. The stock Celestion V30 was extremely harsh, lacked bass and had a shrill treble that rendered my low gain overdrives useless. I tried a Celestion Neo Creamback, which helped somewhat, but didn’t get all the way there. I’m guessing these Celestion speakers may be better suited for close back cabinet situations.

After reading many user forums, the ET-65 was frequently mentioned as having the attributes I was after. At the first gig I could heard the ET-65 produces a fuller bass/low midrange, and a MUCH smoother top end. The REVV D25 is finally useable for the tones I’m after, and I would definitely recommend this speaker. I imagine it will only improve as it gets broken in.

Just what the doctor ordered

I bought an Invader 50 to replace the V30 in my orange PPC112 that I use with my Rockerverb. I loved it so much that when I decided I wanted to change the speaker in my Magnatone super 15 cab (that I use with a Baby M80 head), I didn’t even consider looking anywhere besides WGS. Magnatone puts a ET10 in the 10” BM80 cab and ET90s in the super 59 cabs. It was a no brainer to get the ET65, knowing that I really like the sound of this amp through the 10” cab and super fifty nine cabs. I could not be happier with this speaker, it is exactly what I wanted it to be. I don’t think I’ll look anywhere else for speakers in the future. Two absolute gems and pricing that you just can’t beat. I recommend WGS to everyone I know.

I immediately sold my heritage speakers after plugging up one of these. The response and tones are infamous. Quality build right here in the states!

Lew Jetton

Lew Jetton

Lew Jetton learned The Blues the old fashioned way, in the cotton fields of his native West Tennessee in the 60s and 70s. Along the way, he had two of the best mentors one could have: In the 80s, the legendary Carl Perkins, and in the 90s, the one and only Chicago Blues Legend, Snooky Pryor. Lew Jetton is indeed, the real deal.

Palestine Blues, the new album from Lew Jetton & 61 South is a personally poignant and sometimes brutal memoir of a 10 year period in Jetton's life which included struggles with alcohol, drugs, depression, joblessness, frustration and a spiritual tug of war. Recorded 3 piece for the most part with just Lew on guitar, with bass and drums, so the essence of the songs could show through. No posing. Just the raw feeling, so you really can feel the frustration, the helplessness, the anger, the sadness, that are a way of life for so many today.

Palestine Blues is the 4th CD from Lew Jetton & 61 South to garner rave reviews as well as worldwide radio airplay, including on BB King's Bluesville on Sirius/XM Radio. Palestine Blues follows on the heels of Lew Jetton & 61 South's 2016 release Rain, which spent more than 6 months of the Roots Music Report's Contemporary Blues Chart, finishing #36 in their year end list of all the Top 200 releases. Over the years, Lew Jetton & 61 South have cemented their reputation on the club and festival circuit with their signature, critically acclaimed, Mississippi River Electric Blues sound.

Man Overboard

Man Overboard

New Jersey-based emo-pop players Man Overboard carry the flame of melodic, energetic, hardcore-influenced Garden State bands like Lifetime and Midtown. Founded in 2008 by childhood friends Nik Bruzzese (vocals/bass) and Wayne Wildrick (guitar), the pair began writing at Bruzzese's studio, bringing Zac Eiestenstein (vocals/guitar) and Justin Mondschein (drums) into the fold to record debut EP Hung Up on Nothing. Signing to Run for Cover the following year, the band offered a second EP, Dahlia. In 2010, Man Overboard fired on all cylinders, releasing the acoustic EP Noise from Upstairs as well as studio album debut Real Talkand a self-released live recording. The band also faced lineup changes that year -- Wildrick left the band for personal reasons and Justin Collier filled in on guitar duty, making way for new drummer Mike Hrycenko -- but came back big by joining the Rise Records roster. By spring 2011, Wildrick rejoined the band, as they recorded a self-titled sophomore album and hit the road on the Pop Punk’s Not Dead tour alongside New Found Glory that fall. Adding to the momentum, Man Overboard, released that September, landed on the Billboard 200, Top Hard Rock Albums, and Top Independent Albums charts. Drummer Joe Talarico replaced Hrycenko for the group's third album, Heart Attack, which was released in 2013 also debuted as #46 on the Billboard 200 and #7 on the Independent Record label charts. The band has toured relentlessly, doing The Vans Warped Tour 2 years in a row, Russia, UK, Europe, Canada, and gearing up for a major US tour this Fall, along with Warped Australia, SouthEast Asia, Japan, and Hawaii.
