Warren Mendonsa

Warren Mendonsa spent his first 25 years in Mumbai, India. During this time, he was part of rock band Zero, who grew to enjoy nationwide popularity among India's emerging rock scene, especially on the college festival circuit.

In 2004 Warren moved to New Zealand, playing with blues and folk artists like Midge Marsden, Donna Dean and Lorina Harding. During this time he also recorded two instrumental guitar-based solo albums under the moniker Blackstratblues, both which were released as digital-only downloads.

Warren is now back in India, and works as a sessions guitar player and producer/recording engineer. He plays gigs with Blackstratblues as an instrumental trio and with mainstream artists such as Vishal/Shekhar and (Oscar winner) A.R. Rahman.
