12" Invader 50 - 50 watts

12" Invader 50 - 50 watts

Impedance

The Invader 50 is the sweeter and creamier version of our hugely popular Green Beret. It retains all the same great rock and roll character with just a little sweeter top end and break up. The beefed-up coil means you can now use it with higher wattage amps.

Great Greenback Sound

Great Greenback Sound with higher power rating. This is the fourth one I have purchased. I paired this one in a 212 cab with an ET65.

Invader 50w 12"

really impressed with the feel response and overall tone. I paired the Invader with a ET65 in a 2x12 open back, per recommendation from WGS, for the types of music I play....Absolutely perfect match!...

Nice

Great improvement over the Celestine V type speaker.

WGS Invader 50

Where to start..I would say the WGS website description is very accurate. This speaker is creamy, which I love. It sounds very vintage British. My main amp is an Ampeg r12r from the mid 90s. I've had a Jensen c12k in it for 3ish years. It sounded really good but not great. Like most American amps it lacks mids. I tried a Celestion v30 and a Cream back. Ultimately the Jensen won out over both. A friend suggested WGS. He swears by them and now I see why. After putting in the Invader (same settings) the amp reminded me of vintage Vox(ish). Lots of mids, great bite to it. What really surprised me is how articulate this speaker is! Mind you the speaker wasn't broken in yet. Very impressive... I play in my basement and this speaker sounds great at lowish and even whisper volume. Beats both Celestions all to hell!
