Vaughn,

I have been thinking of building a 2x10 cabinet. I have a few heads, Bandmaster DE SF, Orange Micro, and an old SS Accoustic.

I have a 2x12 that had 2 ET-65s in it, until I swapped one into my homemade 763 DR clone ( Tons louder than the Jensen, i really like it there).

Anyway I was looking at building a cabinet for my current 2X12, and/or a 2x10, when I came accross the Bill Fitzmaurice cabinet plans. These have the cabinet slanted back,(Our ears are not in our knees!) and also have the baffels slanted in 14-20 degrees to help with dispersion, and reduce the beaming in that one spot in front of the cabinet.

I have not got an answer there, but wanted your thoughts on mixing speakers with this type of design, and also a good 10" pair reccomendation.

Cabinets are convertible open/closed, I think I like open better. The designs call for internally mounted padding even with open back.

Classic rock tone, basement rocker volume.
