Hi, I have a crate fw412 cab. I'm looking to replace all 4 speakers in it. After doing some reading about your speakers I've concluded that Liberator/Reaper might be a suitable combo. Is this a popular combination? I see alot of people are combining reapers and ET65's. Since Liberator is an improved version of et65, I thought it would work. Can you confirm that? I'm ready to order but dont want to make any mistakes. The sound I'm looking for is with detailed top end and punchy bottom end. My amp is a Marshall Plexi 100 watt clone. Also, would you recommend a liberator/invader combo instead?

First your statement:

"Since Liberator is an improved version of et65"

This statement is not accurate!  The liberator is different .. but not an "improvement" over the ET65.  They are different ... the ET65 is very warm, smooth, and mellow ... the Liberator adds some more upper mids to that voice ... good or bad?  Depends!

Since you state

"The sound I'm looking for is with detailed top end and punchy bottom end"

I'm going to recommend my old fav:  ET65's on the bottom, and Retro 30's on top.  Choose Liberators instead of the ET65's if you want a touch more throaty growl.

Hope this helps.  Post back w/ your results!
