Fender Stage 100 upgrade

I have a Fender Stage 100 DSP 100 watt combo amp that currently has the stock Celestion G12T-100 speaker in it and I'm looking to upgrade the speaker as the Celestion has just a bit too much trebly, brittle, high-end sharpness to it for my taste. My piggy bank doesn't allow me to go for the 100 watt Blackhawk alnico. Just seeking some guidance if the ET90 would be an ok replacement even with the slightly lower wattage power rating. I normally just run the amp at low voumes for the stage (3-4) and mike it through the main PA so I'm never really pushing it hard at full power. I know the ohms match is vital, just wondering about any problems with the speaker wattage being less than amp output wattage as far as any damage / heat to the speaker over the course of time. I searched through the threads and didn't really come up with anything that answered my questions. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
