Hi I have a Marshall 1969 lead cabinet filled with Celestion G12-75. The kind of music I play and my tone is severely lacking in mid range. I have been looking into and probably will get a WGS I'm just a little torn from a veteran 30 or retro 30. We use 8 string guitars I do need the low end to sound tight but I need mids to be very pronounced and cut. My other guitar player uses Celestion vintage 30s. We tune in 8 string standard so the lowest note would be a low F# or as follows F# B E A D G B E. I'm planning on swapping all four speakers from my Marshall. Is there either a tone combination that would be just right or would a full Retro 30 or veteran 30 be best. This is what my band sounds like maybe this will help make a more concise decision.

Hummm ... usually in that range we recommend HM75's ... but since you state:

"my tone is severely lacking in mid range"

I would seriously consider either going all Invaders, or put a pair over a pair of HM 75's.
