Hi there! So I have a huge 68 bassman 2x12 for my 67 bandmaster. I want to focus on the tone coming from one speaker (probably temporarily) because I’m tracking and want to be a little more precise. I was thinking of detuning it and just running the top speaker. It has utahs right now, but i feel like there’s some midrange info missing and it’s a little too crispy when I crank it. So I’m in a toss up between either one veteran 30 or reaper. Maybe the reaper in the big detuned cab would be too much low end? Thanks!

So I think the Vet30 is the best choice, and yes, I do think the Reaper would be too boomy in that detuned config.
