Impedance

The ET90 is our latest addition to the ET65 lineage. Taking its core sound from the ET65, the ET90 gives you more all the way around. We went to a larger motor and a beefier voice coil on this model. The result is more headroom, more power handling, and a bigger feel. If you've been looking for a classic British tone with an "open" feel and a lot of power, the ET90 is your new favorite.

Great Company

This is my first time dealing with WGS. When I emailed them they responded very quickly with a cheerful attitude. Most the time I contact a company they are very slow to respond, and often respond in a very grumpy way or not at all. So super happy with the service and diligence that these guys seem to have.

I have always been a fan of vented magnet speakers. I like ev’s and I like jbl’s, but they’re best for clean tones in my opinion and are a bit too bright for dirty sounds. So I’ve ended up using mostly celestion g12-65 and g12-80s with my fender blackface amps. Maybe not quite as good for clean tones as the old caste frame speakers, but still sound great for clean having a flatter response than other celestions, and they handle dirt well. The old g12-80s are my favorite.

Obviously none of these come in four ohms so I’m always hauling around a 4x12 or 2x12, even to smaller shows. I really wanted to be able to take a 1x12 sometimes. So I decided to check out a 4ohm ET-90. Can’t give a complete opinion because the speaker is far from broken in. Loaded it up in a forte 3d 1x12, and am quite pleased. Have only used it for one rehearsal, because most of our gigs are out door and the larger cabs are appropriate, but looking forward to using it in a smaller room at some point and definitely glad I have it as an option. I think I may like it more than the g12-65s, it seems to have slightly less mids. Right now I still favor my g12-80s but they are ancient and very broken in. Time will tell. Regardless I’m stoked. Thanks!

WGS ET 90

I was looking for a slight mid scoop and sweetened high end. The ET90 delivered ! Sounds great clean and overdriven in my Suhr Hombre.

Excellent speaker

I keep coming back to WGS for speakers. Never regret it. The ET90 is punchy, with a balanced tone. Exactly what I needed..

ET-90 British Invasion?

Maybe, but I put 2 in my Blackface Twin Reverb and the amp has never sounded better. British or American, I don't know. Just know they sound fantastic!

Jeff is an in demand instructor and clinician with almost 30 courses with TrueFire, and runs an online classroom, The Juke Joint. Jeff is about to release his latest CD “Now” featuring Robben Ford, who both produced and performed on the record.

"Whether in Two-Rocks or old Marshall, WGS speakers always sound great.”

Diarrhea Planet

Diarrhea Planet

Diarrhea Planet were a six-piece garage punk band from Nashville, Tennessee, active from 2009-2018. The band comprises singer-guitarist Jordan Smith, guitarist-singer Emmett Miller, guitarist Evan Bird, guitarist-singer Brent Toler, bassist Mike Boyle, and drummer Ian Bush. Diarrhea Planet has described its sound as "pop played through the filter of heavy metal". The guitars on DP's last album, "Turn to Gold", were recorded largely using WGS ET65s.

Crazy Aces

Crazy Aces

Crazy Aces is an instrumental band from Nashville Tennessee with a guitar driven, twangy sound. Guitarists Jeff Senn and Kiwamu Stewart with Alex McCullough on bass, using the 60's sounds of Surf, Go-Go, and Spy music as inspiration, create their own interpretation of a style that evokes rebellion, mystery, and booty shaking fun. Raucous fuzz, throbbing tremolo, vintage reverb, and unrelenting electric guitar riffs combined with pounding tom toms, catchy grooves, and sexy, almost menacing bass lines are combined together to create an experience that while seeming familiar is in fact completely and originally Crazy Aces.

Their two full length releases (Greatest Hits Volume 2 and Surfadelic Spy-a-Go-Go) have received accolades and praise from throughout the Instro music press and the band has been featured in both Guitar Player and Vintage Guitar magazines.
