Review of Gordon Rankin on 12" Black & Blue alnico - 15 Watts

I put this in my new Thumper Amp which is a single ended 7591A it's a reactor follower model which means the driver stage ECC802 is directly coupled to the 7591A which gives it Class A and A2 (Grid Forward). The A2 adds like 25% more power.
Anyway enough about the amp... this speaker is crazy good from high to low the control and notes fly out of this thing better than any other 12" Alnico I have used.

Review of Excellent Alnico on 12" Black & Blue alnico - 15 Watts

I design custom amps and have a new amp called the Thumper. Basically a 10-12W class A/A2 amp with the 7591A tube. I use the G10A in my 10" combo and the G8A in my small all tube LunchBox combo. Thumper is an open back combo.

The Black and Blue has probably the largest range of any 12" speaker I have used. Plus the bass control is by far the best ever. I swapped out some other brands and they sound so thin compared to the B&B.
