The G8C ceramic speaker will breathe new life into your small combo. Boasting a fair amount of low end for an 8" speaker and balanced mids, this little monster puts out some serious sound. We personally love it with the Fender Champ. If you are looking for vintage tone with increased headroom and output in a small package, the G8C is your speaker.

Major Upgrade in Blackstar HT-1r MkII

The stock Blackbird speaker in my HT-1r MkII had a very woofy bottom end that muddied up the tone quite a bit. After researching 8” speaker options I settled on the G8C to replace the Blackbird. It turned out to be an instant upgrade, and I’m honestly shocked how good it sounds now. The low end is much tighter but still full enough, and the mids are more forward and satisfying. The HT-1 is tiny for a tube amp, and I mostly use it as a desktop practice amp at low volume, but after the speaker change it sounds much better than most desktop solutions. It can also get surprisingly loud when you want, and the G8C sounds great when pushed. For such an easy and relatively inexpensive upgrade, it was a huge improvement that I would definitely recommend to anyone with an HT-1.

Louder and more bottom end than the stock speaker.

    Gorilla GG25 Upgrade

Put this WGS G8C in a classic old less desirable practice amp (Gorilla GG25) and cannot believe how much it has woken that amp up. Find myself playing through that setup for hours on end now. Can't recommend WGS speakers enough to anyone looking to upgrade their rig looking for big results.
