The G8C ceramic speaker will breathe new life into your small combo. Boasting a fair amount of low end for an 8" speaker and balanced mids, this little monster puts out some serious sound. We personally love it with the Fender Champ. If you are looking for vintage tone with increased headroom and output in a small package, the G8C is your speaker.

    It's okay

Didn't really work with my amp. Might have been better had I broke it in but just felt too bassy and stale compared to stock speaker.

One star for anglicizing my name

why on earth would you request a review from a customer and them anglicize their name in the review request?? Are you *trying* to piss off your customers??? My name is Jose, not Joe. I can’t remember the last time somebody was foolish enough to address me as anything other than Jose, because it isn’t 1952 anymore and the overwhelmning majority of humans know not to anglicize names, because it is rude, disrespectful and demonstrates ignorance. I choose to be addressed as Jose. I supplied my name to your company as Jose. Where do you get off deciding that I should be addressed as something else? its not cute, its not endearing, its disrespectful, and more to the point: morbidly stupid if you are trying to garner positive reviews from your customers.

    A champ for a champ

Put this speaker in my 66' champ and was blown away ! It replaced a Jensen alnico P8R which sounded good clean but had too much sizzle with dirt boxes. The G8C sounds great clean and with dirt boxes ! More bass and mids but very balanced and musical at low volumes and when being pushed and had a broken in sound and feel right out of the box. Just what I was looking for.

Dropped one of these in a Bugera V5 combo amp

There was that bothered me about the little Bugera beyond a somewhat dark sound that took me awhile to figure out. It's not a bad sound, just limited. Soon as I hit a low open E with it hooked up to a G8C, I knew what it was and it isn't subtle. The G8C has a bass response and the stock speaker drops off like a rock. The G8C also has a brighter, more articulate sound. It actually hangs well with my TK Gremlin in a wet/dry or stereo set-up. Highly recommended.
