The speaker is unreal!! Adds so much dimension to your amp. I put mine in a Tweed Blues junior 3 and it completely got rid of the boxy sound and is now twice as loud as one might suspect without having the ice pick highs blues junior are known for 1000% would buy again.

Excellent speaker for latest build!

I picked up a WGS Blackhawk alnico 50w to put into my newly acquired 3D Forte 1x12 cab (and to be be transparent, it was Ben McLeod from ATWs use of them in his twin reverb that pointed me in that direction). While I have mainly been running the cab/speaker through its paces using a Mesa TA-30 amp, I have yet to throw anything at it where it didn't shine. Paired with my mesa recto 1x12 w/V30 cab... I'm currently smitten :)

I’ve had Celestion Golds. This is better (for me anyways). The goal with a Gold in a Vox amp is to add clarity and bottom end. Paired with a Greenback, you get a really full frequency coverage. The Blackhawk fills that same role as a Gold but there’s less harshness and a smoother top end. It allows all the chime come through in a really usable way. The mid range surprised me. It’s much warmer in the Blackhawk than the Gold, and feels less scooped. Also, the break in period is much shorter on the WGS. I’ll be a repeat customer.
